Safety Culture Assessment

The Safety Culture Assessment is distinctly different to a standard auditing or assessment process.  This is a process that doesn't just give 'scores' or 'results', it will engage people, and give you the stories of what's really happening in your organisation right now, at all levels.

We run it in two different ways - online, or through focus groups - either independently or in combination.

The focus group version is a three stage approach that focuses in detail on specific elements of Safety Culture and because there is an interview process undertaken by an expert in the field, unique insights into why people act in certain ways (based on their detailed verbal responses as well as written answers to questions) are provided alongside the empirical results and future recommendations.

  • Stage 1 - The process begins by asking interviewees to rate their perception of a particular factor that influences the organisation’s performance
  • Stage 2 - This is then followed up by interviews to establish why people have rated in this manner in order to understand the learning behind the perceptions related to the day-to-day management and related improvement activities within the organisation where they work
  • Stage 3 - From this you will get a range of feedback including detailed comments and graphs against various aspects of culture, a benchmark of your cultural maturity and a strategic plan and set of recommendations for positively changing the culture moving forward

We have run this process many times across a range of industries to give people a deep understanding of the real issues they face with regards to Safety Culture, and how they could improve.
